Pian di Sco: your best walking destination

To escape the summer heat, local people and travellers go to the sea or to the hills.

The Pratomagno is one of these places of refuge, worth visiting at least once… If you love walking, from Villa Valentini you need about 4 hours but it’s a great atmosphere and all around you can enjoy a breathtaking panorama and quiet.

The Pratomagno is a group of mountains which rises between Valdarno and Casentino to the north-west of Arezzo

Accessible at any time, quiet and relaxing, for centuries full of trees, rock, water, wild life and forest tracks.

Carachteristic at the peak of Pratomagno is a cross in iron, which was inaugurated in 1928 and in 2013 has been restored.

The hiking trails we suggest are around the Pratomagno hills and include : Menzano, Poggio Regina, Monte Acuto, Gastra, Casa Biondo.

You can stop for a little bit and have a Pic nic or continue walking up to your next destination.
